A Los Angeles showroom for the UK based paint company, Farrow & Ball, rethinks the way people shop and see colour.
At once striking, these totems bring an artful quality to the interior of the store and can help the store manager curate different collections or selections for the customer.

Located in the design core of Los Angeles on La Cienega Boulevard, the facade of the store puts the full spectrum of Farrow & Ball’s paint offerings on display. At once the frontage is both a showcase of Farrow and Ball’s products and a vibrant art piece that harkens to many other retail establishments that provide a dynamic background for instagrammable moments.
These objects can then be placed onto totems that become sculptural objects within the store.
The totems are not only sculptural elements that display the colours and objects, but also architectural elements that help create spaces within the store.
6 Movable gridded tables easily allows for attachments that house various display systems for brochures, sales knick knacks, and also for whole table tops and “lily pads”. By placing surfaces, the grid system can have tables used for “studio” spaces where the Farrow & Ball team can work with their clients to create curated colour schemes. These mobile stations can either be separated to help give more privacy to the client, or be put together to create one long table for display.
